    Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges.

    Whisk together corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

    Stir in chocolate chips and pecan halves.

    Pour filling into the prepared crust.

    Bake 50–55 minutes, until the center is just set (it will firm up as it cools). Cover the crust edges with foil if they brown too quickly.

    Cool completely on a wire rack — at least 2 hours — before slicing.
